Therapists & Staff

Jennifer Gwadzacz: Massage Therapist

Jennifer’s father was diagnosed with colon cancer when he was 42 and she was 16. As a result, she started to educate herself about supplements, herbs, homeopathy and nutrition. Although her father passed away 2 years later, he had given her the gift of knowing that her life path of learning would be Holistic Health.

Within a few years, in 1996, Jennifer graduated from Mueller Holistic College and began to apprentice with Brian Dorfman in Solana Beach at the North County Yoga Center where she studied yoga as well as massage. Brian taught her to work with clients who have injuries and get them back to their lives free from pain.

After a hiatus in which Jennifer worked for Dr Joseph De Armas at AK Chiropractic for 3 years, as well as starting a family and her own business, she returned to Dorfman Kinesiology in January 2011. Jennifer incorporates assisted stretches into her massage sessions to help correct any alignment issues that are related to the pain and injury. She remains devoted to helping people out of pain, whether a professional athlete, a stay at home mom or anyone in between. She has been doing massage for over 15 years and loves her work.

Alex Regalbuto: Massage Therapist

Alex has had the golden opportunity to study and work under Brian’s guidance since he was 19 years old. Since 2004 Alex has assisted Brian on hundreds of unique cases. He is also involved in assisting Brian in his yoga workshops and events, as well as training practitioners and managing Dorfman Kinesiology Clinic in Solana Beach during Brian’s travels. A local of North County San Diego, Alex enjoys surfing, being outdoors, exercise and movement, and music and dance.

Bishop Thorpe: Massage Therapist

Bishop Thorpe has known Brian for 15 years. His initial experience at Dorfman Kinesiology was as a patient where he was treated for his own sports related injuries acquired through football and lacrosse. Over time the young boy saw how Brian helped people and aspired to do the same when he got older. Bishop is currently enrolled at CSU at San Marcos in the Kinesiology Department. He has been working at the clinic since 2009.

Nicole Lonner Dorfman: Writer/Social Media Coordinator/Office Manager

Nicole is a professional writer who works with Brian in producing his articles and blogs as well as the BDK facebook page and youtube videos. She is currently working on a book to document Brian’s work as an alternative health care practitioner within the modern medical system.

In addition, Nicole is a long time yoga practitioner and teacher. She often assists Brian in his yoga trainings and retreats. Her chanting and musical skills provide a unique flavor to these events.

Nicole manages the Morro Bay clinic and helps organize personal retreats here as well. She is the person to contact if you want more information, need help with reservations at a local inn, or require assistance in any way with setting up your retreat. She also provides fabulous home cooked meals to retreat participants, using the freshest ingredients from her backyard garden and other local sources.
