USAT Press Release
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (April 3, 2007) – Brian Dorfman’s Kinesiology Clinic is proud to announce a new partnership with USA Triathlon (USAT), beginning March 2007. This partnership offers USAT national team members substantial savings on Dorfman’s athletic recovery and flexibility materials.
Since 1985, Brian Dorfman has maintained his own injury rehabilitation practice and his ability to treat injuries has made him indispensable among professional triathletes, including Paula Newby-Fraser, Peter Reid, Lori Bowden, Heather Fuhr, Greg Welch and many others. Dorfman holds a BS in kinesiology from UCLA and is certified in Chinese herbal medicine, yoga therapy, massage, cranio-sacral therapy and other forms of holistic medicine.

Through his user-friendly stretching and flexibility DVDs, Lower Back Basics and Flexibility Training, Dorfman shows athletes how to recover more effectively and perform better. The stretches selected for these DVDs come from Dorfman's 20-plus years of work with triathletes and focus specifically on the muscles most commonly used in swimming, biking and running.

"The whole point of stretching isn’t to simply become more flexible, it’s to recover so you’re able to perform at your best and prevent injury,” says Dorfman." Your success in sports is based on how long you're able to stay relaxed when you’re working hard and exerting yourself—that’s what proper stretching and flexibility will do for you," says Dorfman.

Both Lower Back Basics and Flexibility Training DVDs are geared specifically to athletes, taking into account that they are not particularly flexible or accustomed to stretching, so both are easy to follow and offer guidance on alignment and proper breathing, throughout the stretches.

“I would tell athletes all day long how important flexibility is, but with already difficult workout schedules to begin with, I realized I had to offer a simple solution—an effective routine they can do in just about 20 minutes, three times a week. These DVDs offer a quick way to ensure your recovery, so you can concentrate on training for and excelling in the sports you love.”
